Wash the jar thoroughly and allow it to dry completely.
Make sure there is no grease or residue on the surface.
Cut a small heart shape from masking tape. Stick it firmly onto the outside of the jar.
Press down edges to prevent paint bleeding.
Using a sponge or brush, lightly dab paint around the jar. Do not overload with paint—thin layers prevent drips.
Cover the entire outer surface except the tape heart.
Allow the paint to become touch dry (usually 30–60 minutes depending on product).
Carefully peel off the masking tape while the paint is still slightly soft.
This helps create a cleaner edge.
Wrap twine around the neck of the jar several times. Tie securely and leave enough length to form a handle.
Place an LED tealight inside the jar. When lit, the clear heart will glow.
If using outdoors in a sheltered space, apply a light clear sealant spray.
